Have you experienced a film or video game credits screen that kind of dragged on for way too long? If you have, I guarantee it’s nothing like Comcept’s Mighty No. 9 since it’s close to four — freakin’ — hours!
You read that number right; the ending credits might be longer than the full game (once you know where to go, what to do, etc.). Clocking in at three hours and 48 minutes, Comcept included the names (nicknames for most) of all 71,493 backers who pledged at least $5 for Mighty No. 9’s crowdfunding initiative.
You can check out a video of the full ending credits scene in the video above. Possibly the best one of the lot is backer #5040 who wanted to be known as “Kamiya was right,” which is a reference to Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya who said that Mega Man and Mighty No. 9 creator Keiji Inafune is a “business man, not a creator.”
It’s been certainly a rough time for Mighty No. 9, with Inafune taking full responsibility for its shortcomings. In case you haven’t read it yet, check out our Mighty No.9 review where we mention how the good spots are overshadowed by tech issues and a few gameplay mechanics that should have evolved by now.
