Mass Effect Novel Series to Bridge Gap Between Original Trilogy and Andromeda

Publishing powerhouse Titan Books has confirmed plans to roll out a new four-part Mass Effect series that will simultaneously bridge the gap between the original trilogy and Andromeda, while also acting as prequels and sequels to certain events in the series.

Releasing across August, 2016 and March, 2018, Titan’s official description reveals that “the novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. They will focus on key characters and answer the many questions fans have been asking.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative is the first of the four-part series and will be penned by three-time Hugo Award nominee NK Jemisin, best known for his work on The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Fittingly, Mass Effect Creative Director Mac Walters is the scribe behind the final installment.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to deploy for PS4, Xbox One and PC at some point in 2017.
