Fallout 4 PS4 Mods Beta Delayed

Fallout 4 mods on PlayStation 4 were scheduled for release in June 2016, but Bethesda Game Studios revealed today that the beta has been delayed to an unspecified time:

We regret to say that the PS4 Mods Beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.

Bethesda themselves added, “We will update when we have more info. Thanks for your patience.”

Mods are already available on PC and Xbox One, but as Bethesda’s Pete Hines told IGN at E3, each platform presents its own challenges:

We still have some work and some final things to do. Every platform handles a few things slightly differently and there’s just little things that we have to get in place to make sure the mods actually work and go where they’re supposed to.

It remains to be seen if the delay will affect the release timing of Fallout 4 update 1.5.4, which is expected this week on PS4 and Xbox One.

Stay tuned for more news on Fallout 4 mods as it becomes available.
