Yesterday, Sony announced that its final batch of PlayStation VR pre-orders would open this morning (7am PT/10am ET) through GameStop. If you were one of those who managed to grab one, consider yourself lucky because the retailer has said that its entire stock was sold out “within minutes” of the pre-orders going live. In other words, if you missed out, you’re going to have to wait until the device launches later this year.
PlayStation VR releases on October 13 in North America and Europe, with over 50 games promised by the end of 2016. Launch titles include PlayStation VR Worlds, EVE: Valkyrie, Rez Infinite, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Eagle Flight, and more. Earlier today, Thumper by Drool and SuperHyperCube by Kokoromi and Polytron were also confirmed for day-one release, with the latter playable at the PlayStation VR demo kiosks in the United States and Canada.
