No Man’s Sky may have gone gold last week, but the work for Hello Games isn’t over, as studio founder Sean Murray revealed on Twitter that they’re developing the first game update and getting ready to pass certification in Japan:
RC1 on the disc means Release Candidate 1. We passed cert first time in EU, US and Asia, currently here working on Japanese submission (ᵔᴥᵔ)

Well, waiting for a build to upload really. Actually we’re already busy on Update 1

It remains to be seen if Update 1 will be a day one update, or will follow after launch.
Additionally, Murray said the size of No Man’s Sky on disc is only 6GB:
For those asking – size of No Man’s Sky on disc is just 6GB. A lot of that is audio (⌐■_■)

The PlayStation Store page for No Man’s Sky hasn’t updated yet, so it’s unclear if the digital version will also be 6GB.
