If you thought that hype for Persona 5 couldn’t get any higher, a Premium Event for the game has raised the bar quite a bit. Atlus will livestream this Persona 5 Premium Event on July 19, 2016 at 19:30 JST via Niconico.
According to an ad campaign on Niconico, a Japanese video-sharing service, this event will also include “seven new announcements.”
The left side of the ad, with the already announced protagonist, says, “Take the treasure from the Tokyo National Museum,” and the right side, with recently announced party member Goro Akechi, says, “Seven new announcements!! Preliminary Investigation File.”
Even the Persona 5 website has joined the big tease, complete with countdown clocks for each new announcement. It just wouldn’t be an overly hyped JRPG without countdown timers, now would it?
The Persona 5 Premium Event itself will take place at the Tokyo National Museum. If you aren’t going to be in Tokyo or even Japan next week, be sure to mark your calendar for the livestream.
Persona 5 will release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on September 15 in Japan and on February 14, 2017 in North America. Deep Silver is currently working with Atlus to schedule a release date for Europe.
