Earlier this year, CD Projekt RED set out to become one of the three best roleplaying game developers in the world and with their latest game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt receiving so much praise, it seems like they’re accomplished their goal.
Marcin Iwinski, CEO of CDPR (CD Projekt Red), spoke at this years infoShare where he shared plenty of valuable lessons that he and the team learned while working on the game, but this time, he told us who he thinks the top three gaming developers are as of now.
Yeah, I actually think I said the best. The goal for the last five years was to be among the best three roleplaying game developers and I think we got there, The Witcher 3 is the proof. For the top three, this is our perception, I’d definitely put there Blizzard, I’d definitely put their Rockstar and I think I would put them at number 1 and probably Bethesda as well. We want to get there, so one will have to go.
CD Projekt RED has become a top tier developer since the launch of the beloved Witcher series. The developers took gaming to new heights with their immersive storytelling and amazing attention to detail in side quests in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Sadly, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt recently received its last piece of DLC, Blood and Wine, which sets players on their last adventure with Geralt.
If you have yet to play through The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, a Game of the Year Edition has been confirmed by CDPR and is set to release next month on August 26.
