Adam Boyes Named as the CEO of Divekick & Killer Instinct Developer Iron Galaxy

Just a few weeks after leaving PlayStation to work on games again, Adam Boyes announced today that he’s joined developer Iron Galaxy (Killer Instinct, Divekick) as CEO.

Boyes, who was VP of Third Party Relations & Developer Technology Group at PlayStation, said:

I’ve always had a passion for game development and I’m extremely excited to be getting closer to it with my move to Iron Galaxy. I’m honored to be working with such a talented team and look forward to creating opportunities and crafting deals that deliver their products to a wider audience.

He’ll be moving to Chicago and will officially become CEO on August 8, where he’ll “leverage his publisher relationships to explore new opportunities for Iron Galaxy and maximize the studio’s revenue potential.”

Boyes also worked at Midway Games and Capcom, and during his time at PlayStation he “led his team to record revenue and profitability growth consistently in each of his five years in this position.”

Iron Galaxy also named Chelsea Blasko as Chief Product Officer. Previously, she was Director of Product Development at Iron Galaxy.

After saying, “The world ain’t ready for this!” when announcing his new job, Boyes received lots of responses, including this one from Xbox boss Phil Spencer:
