Final Fantasy XV Season Pass Included Inside the Digital Premium Edition

With the PlayStation Store update today in North America, the Final Fantasy XV Digital Premium Edition has gone up for pre-order on PlayStation 4. Priced at $84.99, this special edition includes the Season Pass.

Square Enix hasn’t officially announced the Season Pass for Final Fantasy XV yet, and the PlayStation Store description of the Digital Premium Edition only says, “The FINAL FANTASY XV Digital Premium Edition includes the original FINAL FANTASY XV and a Season Pass.”

Based on the price of the Digital Premium Edition, the Season Pass should cost $24.99 on its own.

If you already pre-ordered Final Fantasy XV digitally, there’s a Season Pass upgrade offer. “The Season Pass allows you to download additional content,”  the description says.” This Upgrade is a special deal for customers who have already preordered the FINAL FANTASY XV digital edition.”

Back in June, Game Director Hajime Tabata said the post-launch DLC for Final Fantasy XV would include additional story content, costumes, and “things that don’t fall into those categories that fans will be excited to see.” Even with the news of extra content, Square Enix wants to “make sure that fans who bought the game and played it feel like they’ve made a great purchase.”

When Square Enix fully details the Season Pass, we’ll let you know.

Final Fantasy XV releases on September 30 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The digital version for PS4 will unlock at 12am ET on September 30.
