Bethesda Won’t Reveal Elder Scrolls VI Until It’s Close to Release

Despite not having much to say about the next installment in its Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda continues to get quizzed about the game by eager fans. The developer has already said that it’s not currently working on the title but if you’re expecting to catch even a tiny glimpse anytime soon, then you probably shouldn’t. Much like Fallout 4, Bethesda isn’t going to show anything until the game is close to release. Speaking to PC Gamer, Vice President Pete Hines said:

Anything we want to do from a PR-marketing perspective always has implications on the devs, right? Whether that’s trying to capture video or trying to put together a demo: it’s an additional ask above and beyond just working on the game. You’re not going to be hearing first details on [The Elder Scrolls VI] years before the game comes out, absolutely not.

In the meantime, you can get your hands on Skyrim Special Edition that’ll be out on October 28 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
