Gearbox has announced today that the third of five free characters added to Battleborn will release on September 1st. Ernest, the one-bird eggsplosion army, will blast into Battleborn as the 28th hero. All it takes to add this eggciting character to your arsenal is to spend 47,500 in-game credits. However, those who purchased the Digital Deluxe version of the game or the Season Pass will automatically unlock Ernest. Season Pass owners will also get access to Ernest a bit earlier, starting next week on August 25.
In addition, Gearbox has new skins available for purchase in the in-game store starting today. Six skins are available to purchase for Rath, Galilea, Deande, Montana, Ambra, and Caldarius.
This weekend also starts a Double Credits event, beginning on Friday, August 19 at 9 a.m. PST. If you need to hoard more credits for Ernest, this weekend event could be a great way to start. The Double Credits event will run until Monday, August 22 at 9 a.m. PST.
