Report: New DualShock 4 Includes Light on the Touch Pad

With an unboxing video of the PlayStation 4 Slim from ZRZ popping up on YouTube (since removed; backup here), it’s been revealed that the new DualShock 4 includes a light on the touch pad. As you can see in this gif, the light on the front of the controller will stay on at all times, just like the light bar:

According to Twitter user shortman82, who purchased a PS4 Slim, the “strip on the touchpad is just a window to allow the light from bar to come through.” They also said, “New DualShock 4 model CUH-ZCT2E still has the same meagre 1000mah battery unfortunately,” and “all buttons/sticks on the new DS4 are exactly the same height as the original. The materials used do feel better quality though.”

Since one of the DualShock 4 videos was removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim from Sony, expect any other videos ahead of the September 7 PlayStation Meeting to be taken down.

Do you like the idea of having a light on the front of the DualShock 4?
