Tales of Berseria claimed both 1st and 2nd place on the software chart last week, with the PlayStation 4 version selling 174,000 copies and the PlayStation 3 version selling 76,000 copies. For comparison, Berseria’s opening week of just under 250,000 is lower than the openings of Tales of Zestiria (341,000), Tales of Xillia 2 (364,000), and Tales of Xillia (526,000).
Despite having the best-selling game of the week, PS4 hardware sales remained flat and the system finished behind the New 3DS LL yet again. With a report saying many Japanese retailers are out of stock, we might not see the PS4 back at #1 until the new Slim model is released.
