Sony wowed many God of War fans at E3 this year with a surprising trailer reveal for a new God of War game starring Kratos and his son. We don’t have much information about the game thus far, not even a release date. However, it looks like that release date may be a ways away as developer Sony Santa Monica is hiring for a Lighting Artist and a Senior Animator. The studio tweeted out the new job postings earlier this week, and it’s definitely for this upcoming God of War game teased at E3 and not something else they haven’t announced yet.
The Lighting Artist will apparently have more to work with that the dark and brooding chasms of the last God of War series. And they probably shouldn’t be diehard Xbox One fanboys, according to the job description.
Sony Santa Monica Studio is looking for a Lighting Artist to help us create stunning worlds that set the visual fidelity bar for entertainment. This individual will contribute to the artistic vision of amazing, top of class games with a specialized focus on creating realistic and fantastical lighting of characters and environments. Help us create visuals that will set the PS4 apart from the rest!
The Senior Animator is another cog in the animation team, but in something as big as this, every cog is rather important.
