Following multiple leaks, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection is real, and it will launch on November 15 in North America and November 17 in Europe for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Bundling together the single-player campaigns and single-player DLC for Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, the collection also includes Assassin’s Creed Embers and the three-part Assassin’s Creed Lineage, which are short films that dig into Ezio’s backstory and add an epilogue to the trilogy. The above trailer adds that copies in the United States will include a free movie ticket for Assassin’s Creed this December, up to an $8 value.
Ubisoft didn’t list exactly what’s changing with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the games, just that they’ll have “enhanced graphics.” If you’re wondering about the hide-and-hunt multiplayer modes of Brotherhood and Revelations, Ubisoft added that they won’t be included in The Ezio Collection.
Along with The Ezio Collection confirmation, Ubisoft also announced that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has now sold more than 100 million copies. Senior Producer Martin Schelling said:
Creating an Assassin’s Creed game is no easy task. It takes the creativity and hard work of many people in many different Ubisoft studios all over the world. To have this franchise join the ranks of those that have reached more than 100m sold is a testament to the teams that have taken on that challenge over the years.
Brand Director Etienne Allonier added:
This is a huge milestone for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but we believe the best is yet to come. Having seen what’s gone into this year’s movie and into future Assassin’s Creed games, we think fans and newcomers alike will be excited by everything Assassin’s Creed has to offer.
According to Amazon, The Ezio Collection is priced at $59.99 USD.
