Battlefield 1 Map “Giant’s Shadow” Detailed, Will Be a Free Download in December

While some shooter fans might not be happy at the existence of Battlefield 1 Premium, that doesn’t mean Battlefield 1 won’t get any free content at all. On the contrary, it’ll get a new map even before the year’s done.

Over on the official Battlefield site, DICE has given more details on the “Giant’s Shadow” map which will roll out as a free update this December.

FREE IN DECEMBER: GIANT’S SHADOW

Prepare to take part in the Battle of the Selle in the cold autumn of 1918. Here, the fighting moves out of the trenches and into open country where a massive crashed airship casts its shadow onto the battlefield. The British forces have broken through the Hindenburg line and are now in pursuit towards an important railway center. Fierce infantry and tank engagements ensue on the open ground and river banks alongside the Cateu-Wassigny railway where an armored train can still turn the tide. Giant’s Shadow will be coming to Battlefield 1 as part of a free update in December.

In other Battlefield 1 news, the BF1 beta files have been mined and we now know a fair bit about its weapons, and vehicles. You can also partake in a rather lengthy survey on what changes you want to see in Battlefield 1’s final version.

Hopefully, this isn’t the last free content drop for Battlefield 1, and we’ll get a new map or something every few months or so.
