After Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on Wednesday that Digimon World: Next Order would be coming to North America as a digital-only title for PlayStation 4 in early 2017, they sent out a correction notice yesterday. In their update, they said Next Order would now be coming to PS4 through retail and digital stores, and a PlayStation Vita version would be released digitally.
Shortly after the original correction notice, they sent out another correction notice, stating that Digimon World: Next Order would be released in early 2017 in North America as a PS4-exclusive through retail and digital stores. Here’s their full statement on the matter:

The game will be made available to players in the Americas in early 2017 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system in both digital and boxed-retail versions.

Digimon World: Next Order was released in Japan as a PS Vita title and, as Bandai Namco Europe’s Mathieu Van Kemenade says, it will be enhanced on PS4:
A lot of Digimon fans were asking for a European version of DIGIMON WORLD: NEXT ORDER and we are extremely pleased to announce it today! But not only will the game be released in the West, it will come in an enhanced version, specifically designed for PlayStation 4. With this title, the Digimon franchise has now reached a new level with even two Digimon partners for the first time ever in the series. We can’t wait to get players’ feedbacks on this thrilling adventure!
This isn’t the first time a Vita version of a game was mistakenly announced for the West, as Sony initially said Final Fantasy Type-0 HD would be coming to Vita, when it was only released for PS4 and Xbox One.
