Honestly, the past couple of Sony conferences have been pretty underwhelming for me so I've learned not to expect/get excited about anything. What I want is to see more of a focus on new games that are actually releasing soon rather than hardware.

I'm not too excited about it unless they will have the big name games present that are releasing soon-ish, such as Horizon: Zero Dawn , the new God of War , Days Gone , etc. I also have a feeling that the focus will primarily be on PSVR and its upcoming games, which will excite many people, but not me personally.

I expect a push for PSVR and PS4 Pro. The hardcore PlayStation fans are the people who will adopt these. Sony won't miss the opportunity with them all in the same room.
As far as games go, Crash Remastered , Uncharted 4 single player DLC and a big VR title will be the major announcements. Maybe another franchise revival like Legend of Dragoon will be there but that's a long shot.

I just hope they actually put forth a good press conference, since the last two have been rather lackluster.

Can I say that I'm still holding out for those Rockstar announcements? I want the next Red Dead , and I'm still convinced it exists. I also think we'll see Bungie showcasing what Destiny 's big winter event will be, much like they did with Sparrow Racing League last year. Of course PlayStation VR will be a huge focus as well as an update from Hideo Kojima continuing to show us things that make no sense but that we'll be excited for regardless. Hopefully some updates on what Sony's other major studios are up to as well!

I've really enjoyed the past two years because Sony used each event to spotlight the lesser-known titles coming to PS platforms. Not only that, but game reveals that are really tailored to the more hardcore players among us (see: Ni No Kuni 2 ).
As for predictions, Days Gone, Detroit and possibly God of War look set to become the big PS4 tentpoles of 2017, so firm release dates for all would be nice. Plus I think Chandler's on to something with Rockstar. It's been too damn long since the developer launched a new game. Guess we have GTA Online to thank for that one.

I'm honestly not expecting much. Maybe a few new trailers for Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, Spider-Man and maybe one or two game reveals that will most likely be a teaser trailer.
Not being a pessimist, but I just think Sony will push PSVR and PS4 Pro (and rightfully so) hard and with that, will focus their keynote on it as well.
I'm definitely open to being wrong and PSX 2016 being super awesome with a Red Dead Redemption remaster, maybe the release date for Final Fantasy VII Remak e and whatnot, but I just don't want to expect too much -- especially after Sony's kinda lackluster PlayStation Meeting and TGS pressers.

I imagine Sony will be focusing on the hardware side of things for the majority of the presentation, with both PlayStation VR and the PS4 Pro having launched by then. One final big push before Christmas will no doubt involve plenty of VR and 4K/HDR presentations.
On the software side of things, I imagine we'll see some first-party reveals, like a Crash Bandicoot PS4 trailer, as well as Uncharted 4 single-player DLC. Also, another look at God of War would be lovely.
