The Last Guardian developer Jun Yoshino attracted quite a lot of attention yesterday when he tweeted, “Gone gold. Waddup.” He later ended up deleting the tweet, leading many to wonder if he spoke too soon. Looks like it was Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, who wanted to make the official announcement. Not long after the yanked tweet, Yoshida wrote:
I’ve waited a very long time to say this… The Last Guardian has gone gold! I’m so excited for you all to finally experience it ˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖

Back in September, The Last Guardian was delayed yet again by a few months. As expected, we were told that the team needed extra time to polish the game and remove bugs, but given its lengthy development period, quite a few people were convinced that the project won’t ever see the light of day. Fortunately, that’s not the case.
You can finally get your hands on The Last Guardian when it releases on December 6 for the PlayStation 4.
