Kingdom Hearts III News Coming After 2.8, Sora Joins World of Final Fantasy

As if World of Final Fantasy couldn’t get any more adorable, Square Enix has announced that they are adding Sora to the game. As announced on Twitter, he’ll be a free addition to the recently released role-playing game. The chibi-version of the Keyblade wielding fighter will appear this Winter. The @KingdomHearts Twitter account also said that “the team are currently preparing other collaborative works so please look forward to them!”

That’s not the only Kingdom Hearts news, though, as the Twitter account gave us some new details right after saying they don’t “have any news.” Look, Square Enix works in mysterious ways, so it’s best not to question it. The news that they did share was regarding a new Drive Form called the Guard Form. Check it out below:

They also gave some additional information on it:

The Guard Form shield mentioned earlier was transformed from the Keyblade of Herc’s Shield which has been shown previously. This power form was edited as it is the Keyblade from a world that hasn’t been released yet, so it has changed into a hammer shape.

That’s all for now, but players should expect more Kingdom Hearts III news “after the launch of KH2.8” on January 12, 2017. That means just a few more months and players will know more about the third main entry in the Kingdom Hearts series!
