Taking place on Thursday, December 1 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, The Game Awards 2016 will be the first awards show to air live on Twitter. The press release says the Twitter livestream will create a “unified experience for viewers to watch and comment on gaming’s biggest night,” complete with “live Twitter comments on breaking news and the results of Twitter user polls will be integrated into the broadcast.”
You’ll also be able to watch The Game Awards 2016 live through the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Live, with Snapchat Live Story showcasing highlights and NextVR showing it in virtual reality. On Twitch, co-streaming will be open for broadcasters to add their own live commentary, while Xbox Live will allow people to compete against their friends to guess the winners in top categories.
Additionally, The Game Awards Sale will return this year, offering select nominated games at a discount on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam.

The Game Awards 2016 “will celebrate the best games of 2016,” and include exclusive game world premieres and musical performances. According to Keighley, nominees will be revealed later this month, with hints about some of the world premieres starting next week.
