With Mass Effect Andromeda’s release date seemingly leaked by an art book, some of you might already be salivating at the thought of playing BioWare’s latest entry in its sci-fi RPG early next year (like me!). Well, just hope that BioWare doesn’t hit any development snag, as publisher EA has publicly mentioned that it’s willing to delay Andromeda if it’s not good enough.
During EA’s financial earnings call, CFO Blake Jorgensen commented that EA is willing to delay Mass Effect Andromeda a “week or three, or four, or five months” just to nail down the right experience it wants for players.
We’re willing to make moves in launch dates if we feel that it’s necessary to deliver the right player experience. Our guidance assumes that Mass Effect continues to be in this [fiscal] year, but it gives us some flexibility that we might choose to move it either a week or three, or four, or five months if we have to based on what we want to make sure in terms of delivering the right experience to the players.
So no news on Mass Effect other that we continue to have it in our guidance and the moment that changes we’ll certainly let everyone know.
While EA still doesn’t want to talk about Mass Effect Andromeda, we don’t have to wait long, as BioWare will be showing something this coming November 7, which is N7 Day.
Do you think Andromeda will be delayed yet again or pushed back past that rumored March 2017 release window? When do you think will it be available?
