Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released a new Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration tech video dedicated to the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro version. In it, Chief Technology Officer Gary Snethen details how Crystal Dynamics and Nixxes Software enhanced the game for Sony’s upgraded hardware.
We’re told that new additions include “three unique visual modes – 4K Resolution, High Frame Rate, and Enriched Visuals – alongside other enhancements such as hardware tessellation, anisotropic filtering, additional dynamic foliage, and more.”
“There’s an option for everyone, allowing players to customize their experience,” said Snethen. “The increased resolution offers much more detail, which benefits textures, silhouettes, effects, and specular highlights.” Players also have the option of selecting a higher frame-rate of 60fps.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is already out for the PS4. The upgraded version will be available when PS4 Pro launches on November 10.
