Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Update 1.03 Detailed, Graphic Content Can’t Be Disabled

Released just before launch, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare update 1.03 is roughly a 5.8GB download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As Infinity Ward detailed on Reddit, the update included reduced film grain in multiplayer, disabled recently met players, and more:

  • Recently met players list is disabled as we track down a bug
  • Combat Rig Weapons\Ability earn rates tuned based on Beta Metrics
  • Clamping max player speed when stacking Perks\Traits\Gun Perks
  • Buffing Killstreaks based on Beta Feedback (THOR, APEX, Bombardment, RC-8)
  • Small reduction to SMG movement speed
  • Film Grain reduction for MP
  • Miscellaneous fixes to game modes, medals.

More weapon balancing updates will come soon, Infinity Ward adds. Also, if you haven’t checked them out, here’s what changed since the Infinite Warfare beta.

Over in the campaign FAQ, Activision explains that graphic content can’t be disabled, two-player split-screen online play is supported in multiplayer and Zombies, and PS4 and Xbox One players can access every mode offline (PC players can only access the campaign offline).

In a FAQ about Modern Warfare Remastered, Activision says you must have Infinite Warfare installed and the game disc inserted in your system to play MWR. If you uninstall Infinite Warfare (digital and retail, presumably), you can’t play MWR.

If you’re thinking of buying an Infinite Warfare special edition used, they warn:

The unlock code for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on PlayStation 4 can only be used once. Players who purchase pre-owned copies of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will not be able to access Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered if the unlock code is missing or has already been used.

Looking ahead to all of the Season Pass DLC coming in 2017, you can expect “four individual DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of $15 each) that take innovative multiplayer mechanics to a variety of all-new, sensational environments,” as well as “four new terrifying zombie adventures featuring quirky environments and fearsome enemies.”
