To celebrate tomorrow’s pre-order early access launch of Dishonored 2, Bethesda and Arkane Studios released the official launch trailer today, giving you a look at the story, characters, powers, and environments, as well as the moment where you choose between Corvo or Emily. There’s also a lot of killing in the video, but if you want the Platinum, you’ll need to keep everyone alive in one of your playthroughs.
“Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2, the next chapter in the award-winning Dishonored saga by Arkane Studios,” the description reads. “As either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca – a once-dazzling coastal city that holds the key to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the mark of the Outsider and powerful new supernatural abilities, hunt down your enemies and forever alter the fate of the Empire.”
If you have the digital version of Dishonored 2 pre-ordered, your 48GB pre-load is available on PlayStation 4. If you’re getting the retail version, expect a 9.1GB (PS4) and 9GB (Xbox One) day one update. Asked about the patch, Co-Creative Director Harvey Smith said Dishonored 2’s “better updated.”
As for the endings in Dishonored 2, Smith said, “Endings are now a hybrid of decisions about who to kill, colored by high/low chaos.” When someone asked if there’s any post-launch DLC plans for Dishonored 2, he replied, “Nothing announced.”
Dishonored 2 officially launches on November 11 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
