Following the PlayStation 4 Pro‘s launch this week, the upgraded hardware has been tested quite a bit and, unfortunately, some launch titles have been found suffering from performance issues that make them run slower on the Pro than the standard console. In case you’re experiencing issues with any of the following titles, be assured that it’s not just you:
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Hitman
- Mantis Burn Racing
- Skyrim Special Edition (issue covered here)
- The Last of Us Remastered
- World of Final Fantasy
While a lot of users have been sharing their findings online, Digital Foundry penned a detailed article explaining exactly what kind of issues these titles are facing. In summary, it seems that higher resolution support is negatively impacting in-game performance. It’s worth noting that most titles are working as intended but regardless, performance issues with the aforementioned titles need to be highlighted and have been brought to Sony’s attention. The company released a statement saying that it’s aware of the problem and is currently investigating.
