Conan O’Brien Plays Final Fantasy XV on PS4, Doesn’t Enjoy Himself

After taking a few months off from playing a game that’s available for PlayStation 4, Conan O’Brien is back with the latest episode of Clueless Gamer, this time featuring Final Fantasy XV on PS4 and Elijah Wood.

“Elijah and Conan explore the world of Eos and join a fellowship that Conan likens to Middle-earth Entourage,” the video’s description says. On Twitter, Conan said, “Watch @ElijahWood and I play #FFXV while waiting for death in real time.”

Early on in the video, Conan gets mad at having to push a car, and they eventually skip ahead in Final Fantasy XV (2:40) because that part of the game “was killing us.” Eventually, the talk turns to chocobos (3:40) and, while riding them, Conan says it’s “an aggressive wasting of our time.”

At around the 4:50 mark, Conan gets fed up with FFXV, stands facing a wall, and when Aaron says one of the bosses takes 72 real-time hours, he says, “Why would someone play this?! Why would someone play this game?!” He becomes quieter around the 5:30 mark, revealing that this is the most time they’ve ever spent with one game for Clueless Gamer.

Summing up his thoughts on FFXV, Conan says, “This whole thing… it’s like an epic blue balls waste of time.” Shortly after, Conan realizes some members of the FFXV development team were outside the room watching him the entire time… and he proceeds to yell at them.

Final Fantasy XV releases on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
