During the first English Persona 5 gameplay livestream today, Atlus announced that Persona 5 is delayed until April 4, 2017 in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. It was previously scheduled for February 14.
“I know, I know. It stings,” Atlus PR Manager John Hardin said. “But Persona 5 set the gold standard for Atlus with its launch in Japan, and we wanted to put the utmost care into ensuring it winds up the best when it launches in the west. And — and this is a very special “and” — we have some exceedingly good news for you in light of this delay: Persona 5 will have dual audio. For PS4 and PS3.”
You’ll have to download the dual audio DLC from the PlayStation Store at launch, but it will be free forever. “People have been asking for this since P5 was announced, and through herculean effort from just about every division of Atlus, we managed to arrange this,” Hardin added.
To help make the wait a little easier, Atlus has released a Ryuji Sakamoto Special Theme & Avatar Set for PS4 for free through the PlayStation Store in North America. It’s only up for 24 hours, so be sure to grab it ASAP.
Europe will get the theme and avatar set offer beginning on November 24. The theme will be available again after launch, but you’ll have to pay for it.

Persona 5 will be playable at PlayStation Experience this year.
