It’s no surprise that Blizzard seems to be preparing for Overwatch Winter Games, following the hugely popular Halloween celebration and Summer Games. Based on what data miners have unearthed in the latest patch files, it looks like a winter event is indeed on the cards.
Over on Reddit, user Venxa has posted a collection of audio files that hint at new features coming to the game. One of these files is a remix of the theme. Listen closely and you’ll hear the distinct sound of sleigh bells.
Also found in the audio files are references to an “Arena,” a “Challenger” and a “Gladiator.” It’s not quite clear what this means, but the clues are pointing to either a new map or game mode. Have a listen for yourself and let us know what you make of it.
