If you’re purchasing a new PS4 this year, then you’ll want to future-proof by picking up the PS4 Pro. This more powerful system allows games (full list here ) to be played at a 4K resolution, and will make games look (and in some cases run) even better. Older titles are also receiving updates to become compatible, so here are a few games that look and run great on the PS4 Pro.

2016 Gift Guide PS4 Pro
PS4 Pro
In our review , we said "I’d recommend buying a PS4 Pro, as it’s the more “future-proof” investment for only $100 more (and don’t forget it has 1TB of HDD space out of the box compared to the 500GB in the slim). The PlayStation 4 Pro is very much an optional upgrade and comes solely down to how much performance you want to get out of your PS4, and if you can even take full advantage of what it offers."
inFAMOUS Second Son
In our review , we said "inFAMOUS Second Son isn’t a perfect game. The overarching story is a bit stunted and combat can feel somewhat repetitive. What holds Second Son together is how solidly all aspects of the game were made. You can feel the passion that each person at Sucker Punch has for their individual role as each element solidifies and interfaces into an extremely well made game overall. While it may not be remembered for bringing anything new to the table in terms of overall mechanics, Sucker Punch have certainly set a benchmark for how games should incorporate the power of the PS4 to fuse all elements of a game and make one strikingly solid experience."
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
In our review , we said "Overall, there is simply too much to cover in Shadow of Mordor and this is one of its greatest assets. As you progress through the game things expand exponentially, giving more room to play around in, but on a learning curve that is paced out perfectly. Fantasy fans will probably owe it to themselves to give Shadow of Mordor a shot, especially if they are fans of Tolkien’s work. If you are not overly familiar with the lore from the books and movies, you may find it difficult to appreciate most of the content available here, but you will still find a fantastically fun fantasy action title with a robust amount of content, with some familiar core gameplay."
The Last of Us Remastered
In our review , we said "The bottom line is, I thought this game was very much worthwhile even after being doubtful before I played it. Speaking to those who have already played the PS3 version, if you really loved it back then, I would suggest getting this version for PS4 too. It has a lot of extras and it looks really beautiful with the 1080p, higher frame rate, and updated graphics and character models. To those who are interested in diving into The Last of Us for the first time, what are you waiting for?!? The Last of Us Remastered is just a perfect game made even more perfect."
