With some players beginning to receive their copies of The Last Guardian ahead of next week’s release, it’s been revealed that the physical version’s install size is 15GB. If you’re planning on getting The Last Guardian digitally, the PlayStation Store has updated to reveal that it’s an 11.9GB download in North America and 12GB download in Europe.
If the update adding HDR support, 4K PlayStation 4 Pro support, and minor performance improvements becomes available before The Last Guardian launches, expect the download size to be higher than what’s listed.
The digital version of The Last Guardian unlocks at 12am ET on Tuesday, December 6 in North America, and pre-ordering gets you a theme and mini soundtrack. Pre-ordering the digital version in Europe gets you two dynamic themes.
On the back of the retail box for The Last Guardian, it says:
From The Makers of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus
Facing unknown dangers in a strange and mystical land, a young boy and his gigantic feathered companion must rely on each other to survive in this harrowing story of friendship and trust.
The Last Guardian review embargo lifts on December 5.
In a message included in the press kit, director Fumito Ueda said “you definitely won’t want to miss the ending.”
