During the PlayStation Showcase tomorrow at 10am PT/1pm ET at PlayStation Experience 2016, Sony says we can expect “announcements and a sneak peek at the future of PlayStation.” Unlike The Game Awards, details on what those announcements will be haven’t been given ahead of time, but thanks to some leaks and rumors, we have an idea of what to expect from the event.
Here’s a round-up of some of the things you might see at the PlayStation Showcase tomorrow, December 3:
The Last of Us 2
Back on November 24, industry insider shinobi602 quoted an image on NeoGAF that said ‘The Last of Us 2 Confirmed,’ and he added, “Maybe you don’t have to wait that long.” He also tweeted a video to a track from The Last of Us titled The Path (A New Beginning) earlier today.
Uncharted 4 Story DLC Reveal
Although shinobi602 said he’d heard that it isn’t focused on Sam, a report from Jaffameister said the story DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be revealed and playable at PSX, with Naughty Dog aiming for a Q1 2017 release.
Marvel vs Capcom 4 Announcement
Multiple reports have already surfaced about Marvel vs Capcom 4, with Polygon saying it will debut at PSX, ahead of its 2017 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On the Marvel side of things, the roster is expected to focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning X-Men characters won’t be represented.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC 1 Date
On November 29, Infinity Ward developer Lee Ross said the first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on January 31, “first on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.” The tweet has since been deleted.
At PSX last year, Activision showcased the first DLC for Black Ops 3.
Resident Evil 7 Trailer
Capcom said at the end of their live-action trailer for Resident Evil 7 yesterday that the Tape-3 trailer will debut in early December 2016. PSX seems a likely bet.
Destiny: Sparrow Racing League
Bungie has already confirmed that Sparrow Racing League is returning this year, and they first announced the event at PSX last year. They’ve also been teasing an appearance in Anaheim this weekend.
“With great speed, we’ll head to California,” they said in their Weekly Update. “We’ve been to every instance of PlayStation Experience since it first roared to life in the sands of Las Vegas. This year will be no different. We still have the miracle of the Internet to keep us united as a community of Guardians. If you’re not in the building, we’ll be sure to let you know what we’re whispering into the ears of the players who attend.”
WB Montreal Damian Wayne Game
Kotaku’s Jason Schreier heard from a single source that WB Montreal is working on a Batman game starring Damian Wayne, complete with the Nemesis system and a trailer that ends on Penguin. He heard it was to be announced in early December, and since it wasn’t at The Game Awards, it could appear at PSX.
Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Lara Croft GO
Thanks to a product listing on Best Buy’s website, and a Trophy listing on Exophase, it looks like Square Enix will be announcing Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and Lara Croft GO at PSX.
Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality, Let It Die
Based off of the Trophy listings popping up on Exophase, it appears as though Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality will be announced for PlayStation VR soon, and Let It Die (still scheduled for 2016) will be getting a release date soon.
Additionally, Hideo Kojima will be at PSX this weekend, hosting a Death Stranding panel.
As for what you won’t see at PSX, Insomniac has said Spider-Man PS4 won’t be making an appearance, and neither will God of War, according to Cory Barlog.
