Bigben Interactive Acquires Test Drive Brand From Atari, Plans to Develop New Games

European publisher Bigben Interactive (Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, 2Dark) announced today that they’ve picked up the Test Drive brand from Atari, and that they’ve started a project to develop new titles from the Test Drive Unlimited franchise.

As part of the deal, Atari retains all rights to sell all previously released Test Drive games.

Bigben CEO Alain Falc said:

We are more than confident with respect to the quality of this franchise, which is loved by so many players. Our teams are very enthusiastic at the idea of being able to work on this license, which has already proven its worth – the game Test Drive Unlimited 2 sold 1.8 million units.

Bigben adds that the acquisition of the Test Drive IP broadens their catalog and “is a clear demonstration of Bigben’s desire to offer quality video games on all current platforms.”

What do you hope to see from Bigben’s Test Drive games?
