Update (December 20): Fruit Ninja VR will be available today for PlayStation VR.
Original Story: Released earlier this year for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, Fruit Ninja VR is coming soon to PlayStation VR, developer Halfbrick has revealed on their website. If the Trophy listing posted on Exophase over the weekend is any indication, it’s possible we could see it as soon as this Tuesday, but nothing’s been confirmed yet.
Priced at $14.99 USD on Steam, Fruit Ninja VR includes dual wielding, leaderboards, and these modes: Classic Mode (slice fruit, avoid bombs), Arcade Mode (slice as much fruit as you can in 60 seconds), Zen Mode (90 seconds, all fruit, no bombs), and Survival Mode (face off against flying cannons).
The Steam description says:
Play the original fruit-slicing action game enjoyed by billions of players around the world in a whole new way! Fruit Ninja VR takes squishy, satisfying gameplay and turns it into a virtual reality experience that can be enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels.
Step into the Fruit Ninja universe and tackle fruit from all angles – just don’t hit the bombs! Take your ninja skills to the next level by slicing, juggling and skewering fruit in virtual reality. Hit huge combos, deflect bombs with a flick of the wrist, and stake your claim on global leaderboards or relax with some Zen Mode.
There’s 13 Trophies in Fruit Ninja VR, and some ask you to kill 50,000 fruit total, get a score of over 1000 after all bonuses in Arcade Mode, and destroy a Basket Enemy.
