A 6.2GB download, the free Gravity Rush 2 demo is now available to download on PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe).
Featuring two paths – one for newcomers to the series and one for experienced players, with each containing unique content – here’s what to expect from the demo:
Try out new gravity-defying powers across the streets and skies in this high-flying demo.
Join gravity shifter Kat as she returns to battle a fearsome enemy threatening to unravel the fabric of the universe.
Experiment with unique Jupiter and Lunar powers to fight waves of Nevi and soldiers across the bustling markets and docklands.
And then unite with former rival Raven to unleash deadly tag team attacks as you come face-to-face with a secret weapon…
As the description in North America adds, “Please note that this code was produced during the middle of game development, and is not representative of final game quality.” Sony revealed yesterday that the downloadable demo is the same one shown off at E3 and other events.
PlayStation Europe wrote some demo tips on the PlayStation Blog, providing more details on the two different paths in the process:
Right at the demo’s start you’re asked whether you want an easier, tutorial-led playthrough (Beginner Course) or one that lets you explore straight away and eventually access all of Kat’s gravity powers (Experienced Course). Obviously it’s worth jumping into the former if it’s your first time in Kat’s world. But there’s more than just the initial guide differentiating the two; your choice will lead to different missions and new enemies. Advice? Play it twice (at least).
Gravity Rush 2 launches on January 18, 2017 in Europe and January 20, 2017 in North America. The free Raven story DLC will be available in March.
