The next entry in in Marvelous Entertainment’s Senran Kagura series is a third-person shooter called Peach Beach Splash. Players will compete on a five-person team in a traditional Shinobi water gun tournament. It’s a departure from past games in the series, which were hack-and-slash titles, but considering the middling reception those have garnered, it might not be a bad thing.
In Japan, the shooter will be getting a limited edition package (pictured here) called the “Nyuu Nyuu DX Pack.” For 9,980 yen players will get the following:
- A special illustrated box by Nana Yaegashi
- Blu-ray that features the opening animations
- The game’s OST on a CD
- Art book
- Nyuu Nyuu Special DLC 5 Set
- Soaking Wet High School costume
- Sparkling Rainbow Bikini 7 color set
- Futomaki Bazooka special weapon
- Bebe-tan MK-II friend card
- Nyuu Nyuu DX Skill Card Set skill card
Now Marvelous has released a new trailer showing off what is in the Nyuu Nyuu Special DLC 5 Set. Players will get the a high school costume (because Marvelous knows its fanbase), several bikinis, a special bazooka weapon, an exclusive friend card, and a skill card. The PlayStation 4 exclusive Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash releases March 16, 2017 in Japan. No North American release is currently announced, but is likely considering past games in the series have made its way overseas. A “super limited edition” of the game called the Nyuu Nyuu 5th Anniversary DK Pack will also be available for 24,800 yen. It includes a “life-sized mousepad” of one of the characters (Yumi) that weighs two kilograms.
