On Twitter, developer Campo Santo and co-producer Panic Inc revealed that first-person adventure game Firewatch crossed one million copies sold at the tail end of 2016:
Sometime late last year we sold our one millionth copy of Firewatch. Thank you all so much! pic.twitter.com/7LSTqWuU8Q

Campo Santo didn’t provide a sales breakdown across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but SteamSpy says 550,000 copies were sold on Steam.
First released in February 2016, Firewatch sold 500,000 copies in its first month, and Panic Inc recouped its investment in about a day. “As an indie game, or heck, even as a ‘real’ game, ok fine but not as a Call of Duty or Star Wars game, Firewatch can be considered a sales success,” Panic said at the time.
Since launch, Firewatch has received PS4 Pro support and a free-roam mode.
A Firewatch movie is currently in the works.
