Now here’s a rather interesting take on discouraging game spoilers; Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony developer Spike Chunsoft is disabling the PS4 Share button from Chapter 2 onwards to prevent spoilers being leaked.
In order to prevent spoilers for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, we are asking for self-restraint in the release of gameplay videos and live streams from Chapter 2 onward,” reads a message at the end of an interactive warning. “For the same reason, PlayStation 4’s share feature cannot be used with save data that has entered Chapter 2 or later even once, even if it’s between the Prologue and Chapter 1. We hope for your understanding and cooperation in order to allow more customers to enjoy this title.
Of course, this isn’t a sure-fire way to prevent spoilers being posted online, but it does make things a wee bit more complicated. And sometimes, that’s all it takes.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony will be out in Japan next week, with the NA release window set sometime this year.
