Following a listing on the Xbox Rewards website earlier this week, reports surfaced that NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice 2 will be out late in March. However, game director Ed Boon denied the rumors, much to the disappointment of some fans. The good news is that he’s now confirmed Injustice 2‘s release date, and it’s May 16, 2017.
Since Boon is known for his teasers, many didn’t believe he was announcing the game’s release date (or thought that there was a catch) when he tweeted the following:

However, NetherRealm’s and Injustice‘s official twitter accounts then confirmed the news, nothing that the release date applies to Americas.

Fans in Europe and other parts of the world need not worry, though. It’s not unusual for games to release in different regions a couple of days later. We’ll make sure to update our readers when we have release details for other parts of the world.
