Ubisoft has revealed the content of its upcoming For Honor closed beta, which is scheduled to take place across all platforms from January 26 to January 29. In addition to this, the developer has launched an interactive website (SCARS) that allows players to learn more about For Honor‘s warriors. Upon completion of the experience, you’ll be rewarded with a closed beta code.
Here’s what’s included:
During the Closed Beta, players will be able to discover what kind of warriors they are by choosing between nine of the 12 different Heroes from the three For Honor Factions – the bold Knights, the brutal Vikings and the enigmatic Samurai. Each Hero is unique with its own playstyle, set of armour, weapons, skills and progression. Players will confront each other in three of the five fast-paced and intense multiplayer modes of For Honor: Dominion 4v4, Brawl 2v2 and Duel 1v1, while diving into six immersive and tactical environments including three brand new maps. Last but not least, Closed Beta players will have the chance to try out Faction War for the first time. Faction War is the global, persistent and cross-platform event that brings to life the ongoing war between For Honor’s three factions, the Knights, the Vikings and the Samurai.
In a separate press release, Ubisoft revealed that For Honor has gone gold and announced a collaboration with Twitch for a limited-time event, War of the Factions, which will take place during the beta.
During the beta event, popular Twitch streamers along with selected community members and For Honor fans, will pledge their swords to one of the three For Honor Factions – the Knights, Samurai or Vikings. As Generals, these streamers will lead their armies of players to battle on their respective Twitch channels. All activity from the Generals and the entire player base of the beta during War of the Factions can be found here:.forhonorgame.com/war Fans still looking to pledge their sword to a Faction can sign up for a chance to participate in the closed beta at forhonorgame.com/war.
In addition to the War of the Factions event, For Honor will be part of an upcoming Twitch Prime promotion, where all Twitch Prime members can get an exclusive For Honor Twitch Prime bundle. This bundle will include a 10-day Champion Status that gives players XP boosts that can be shared amongst friends, more XP from crafting, additional end-match loot, plus the “United Factions Emblem” that can be used to customize their character. The For Honor Twitch Prime bundle is only and will be available in-game when For Honor launches on February 14, 2017.
The game is headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
