New Info on Mass Effect Andromeda’s Multiplayer Horde Mode, Planets and More Revealed

As we get closer to the release of BioWare’s Mass Effect Andromeda, new information and details about the game are starting to surface online. One Reddit user, typherio, recently got a hold of February’s PC Gamer magazine, which includes tidbits of new information on Andromeda‘s planets, Horde Mode, and more. Without further ado, here it is, in typherio’s words:

  • Dodge Roll has been replaced with a dash, useful for getting from cover to cover. This, in conjunction with being able to jump, makes for fast mobile combat. You can aim mid-jump to activate a slow hover that is useful for setting up combos.
  • Renegade/Paragon system has been replaced with a 4-chat option, head, casual, heart and professional, giving choice in the personality of your Ryder.
  • There are apparently different types of planets. One type is a story planet. This planet mainly consists of open exploration and side quests. Planets also have environmental hazards i.e. radiation, too hot and too cold.
  • The Nomad was partially designed and tested by a small team from Need for Speed.

And finally in Horde Mode, you pick what class you will play before the start of the match.

Mass Effect Andromeda is out on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
