Missing its early 2017 release window, Tekken 7 will launch on June 2 in the Americas and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Bandai Namco announced today. By pre-ordering Tekken 7, you’ll receive Eliza, who made her debut in Tekken Revolution.
Along with the standard edition of Tekken 7, there’s also a couple of special editions, including the Digital Deluxe Edition (price TBA), which bundles together the game and Season Pass. Priced at $149.99 USD, the retail Collector’s Edition for PS4 and Xbox One features the game, soundtrack, Steel Book, and a 12” tall by 18” wide statue that features a dynamic pose with Kazuya fly kicking Heihachi in mid-air. In North America, the Collector’s Edition includes the Day 1 Edition of Tekken 7 with Eliza, while the European version includes the Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass.
With the Tekken 7 Season Pass, you’ll receive three content packs “aimed to extend the Tekken 7 experience and will include new playable characters, new stages, a new game mode, costume packs, and a bonus 35-piece Metallic Costume Pack.” Prices weren’t given, but you’ll be able to buy each DLC pack separately.
In terms of exclusives, the PS4 version will include legacy costumes from Tekken 4 and Tekken 2 for King, Xiaoyu, and Jin, plus a Jukebox Mode where you can listen to classic Tekken tracks and create playlists while you play. The Xbox One version doesn’t have any exclusive in-game content, but pre-ordering gets you a free copy of Tekken 6.
“Tekken 7 for home consoles and PCs represents the culmination of the highest levels of fighting game development, even surpassing its arcade counterpart by offering additional balance and fine tuning, the inclusion of a dramatic story mode, more characters, and the implementation of online tournament modes that are sure to ignite the fighting spirit amongst gamers around the world,” Bandai Namco said.
