Watch Dogs 2 Updated With New Scene, Hints at Sequel Location

Watch Dogs 2 just received a 10GB patch on PlayStation 4 to prepare the game for its upcoming DLC (and add in some new emotes), but it also added a new scene that players who beat the game can view. This new segment, which takes place as a phone conversation titled “51.462014, -0.112504,” teases a new entry in the series. If the title looks familiar, it’s because it’s in the format of a set of coordinates.

A little bit of digging (by which we mean simply pasting the coordinates into a search engine) reveals that the location is London, England (specifically Brixton). When paired with the contents of the phone call (which can be seen below), it certainly seems to hint at the Watch Dogs 3 location being set in London. That’d be quite the change from previous games, that have taken place in American cities (Chicago and San Francisco).

Here’s the full call transcribed by Eurogamer:

Man 1: How much of this is hyperbole? Has it really gone global?

Man 2: There are new DedSec cells popping up everywhere. The Middle East, South America, Europe. And not just them. We can’t even keep up with all the new hacktivist groups.

Man 1: Alright. Make the call.

Man 2: You Sure?

Man 1: Do it.

Let us know in the comments below if you’d like to see Watch Dogs 3 take place in London! If not, where would you like to see a sequel take place? Are you expecting a new protagonist despite Marcus being well-received compared to the original’s Aiden Pearce?
