Final Fantasy XV Episode Gladiolus Details Revealed, Costs $4.99

New details on Final Fantasy XV‘s first major add-on have been revealed thanks to Square Enix updating their website. We now know that Episode Gladiolus will cost $4.99 individually, or can be accessed as part of the game’s Season Pass. The two other Final Fantasy XV episodes (Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto)  will also be sold separately, as well as the game’s upcoming multiplayer expansion called Comrades. That’s good news for those that don’t want to dish out for the entire DLC package all at once.

Beyond the pricing details, Square Enix also provided a description for the add-on. It’s in line with previous details that have gotten out, and the DLC will fill in what happens to Gladio after he leaves the group. There are slight story spoilers, so if you haven’t finished the game then I wouldn’t recommend reading the full description.

Here’s how the website describes the upcoming DLC:

Gladio, one of the three faithful comrades who accompany Noctis on his journey will become a playable character for the very first time in his own episode with a completely different type of gameplay and an all-new story.

Picking up from the events from the group’s encounter with Ravus, Gladio leaves the group to train alongside Cor and become even more powerful. He sets on a path to face challenges by encountering larger than life monsters along the way.

Final Fantasy XV‘s Episode Gladiolus is set to release March 28. It can be purchased as part of the game’s Season Pass or $4.99 individually.
