New Mass Effect Andromeda Videos Feature Combat Gameplay, Natalie Dormer

In the second Mass Effect Andromeda Official Gameplay Series video, Combat Profiles and Squads, BioWare showcases how to customize your characters, progress your skills, and command your squad. Beginning at 1:20, you can see how useful your four Favorites loadouts will be during combat. The squad gameplay then begins at 3:20, where Power Combos are featured.

Another new Mass Effect Andromeda video today confirms Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) as the voice of Lexi T’Perro, the Tempest’s doctor. One of the first characters you meet after waking up, Dr. Lexi’s role is to “maintain crew fitness, both physical and mental, and research how the environments and situations they are exposed to throughout the Andromeda galaxy affect human biology and psychology.”

On the Mass Effect website, BioWare detailed two of the seven types of profiles you can choose from as you unlock skills:

  • Adept – As you gain more biotic skills, you’ll unlock the Adept profile that adds bonuses to the duration and damage of your biotics. The more you invest in these skills, the higher the level of profiles you’ll be able to unlock.
  • Explorer – If you want to dabble in lots of different skills, try the Explorer profile. With this profile, you’ll be able to specialize in combat mixed with biotic and tech skills, while still getting access to perks and buffs that enhance your abilities. Furthermore, you can swap these profiles at any time, allowing you to keep the action fresh, giving you numerous ways to approach every battle, and ensuring you never feel locked into a particular style of play.

Mass Effect Andromeda releases on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read our new preview over here.
