EA Reveals Visceral Star Wars Game Will Be About Exploration

Speaking during the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference today, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen talked a bit about the company’s upcoming games including BioWare’s new IP, a new IP from Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond, as well as the new Star Wars game from Visceral Games.

On the new IP from BioWare, Jorgensen said that it will be “more sci-fi related.” This corroborates with previous statements made by EA CEO Andrew Wilson earlier this year stating that the setting would mean “a world of greater action and greater adventure.”

Jorgensen also said that the new action game from Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond is still in the “very early days” of development, but the company plans for it to become of its new franchise. Jorgensen didn’t mention whether the new IP would come from Motive Studios, which Raymond founded, or Visceral Games, which she currently runs.

Speaking of Visceral Games, Jorgensen also mentioned that the new Star Wars action game being developed by the studio will be “exploration-based,” which helps confirm previous notions that the new Star Wars action game would be open-world.
