Japanese Sales Chart: Horizon Zero Dawn Debuts Behind The Legend of Zelda

Horizon Zero Dawn sold 117,000 copies in its first week, but it wasn’t enough to defeat The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch, which moved 187,000 copies. Compared to other 2017 PlayStation 4 games, Horizon opened ahead of Nioh and Gravity Rush 2, but below Resident Evil 7 and NieR: Automata.

Unsurprisingly, Nintendo Switch was the #1 system for the week, selling 329,000 units. For comparison, the Wii U sold 309,000 units in its launch week, while the Wii sold 372,000 units in its launch week.
