Middle-earth: Shadow of War Might Let You Import Save Data From the First Game

Do you still have your saved game data for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor? Planning on playing the sequel, Shadow of War? If so, don’t delete your Shadow of Mordor game save! At least not yet as there’s a chance that you’ll be able to transfer your Shadow of Mordor saved game data to Shadow of War.

In an interview, Monolith Productions Creative Vice President Michael de Plater (kind of) hinted that such a feature could be in the works wherein your Nemesis in Shadow of Mordor shows up in Shadow of War.

“Oh… I don’t remember what we’re allowed to say about that,” Plater admitted, before darting off to consult with a representative. Then he returned with a good old, “We’re not saying anything at this time.”

While de Plater didn’t say “yes,” he didn’t exactly say no, either. Mind, he could have denied it outright, but he didn’t, and worded it carefully (heck, even asking a PR rep!), as to make sure he doesn’t give anything away without confirming/announcing anything.

If this feature does happen, what would you like to see be carried over from Shadow of Mordor to Shadow of War? Don’t forget to check out 16-minutes of gameplay from Middle-earth: Shadow of War right now if you still haven’t done so.
