With the release of update 4.50 (codenamed Sasuke) for the PlayStation 4, the console finally gets the long sought after support for external drives to expand your PS4’s storage. With the update, users will now be able to install and download applications, including games, to an external drive.
The new feature supports USB 3.0 and above drives with a minimum usable capacity of 250GB and a maximum capacity of 8TB. Additionally, both conventional hard drives and solid-state drives are compatible with the feature.
