In an interview with Famitsu, Dark Souls III Director Hidetaka Miyazaki spoke about his thoughts on Dark Souls III, its second and final expansion The Ringed City, and what’s next for him and From Software.
Apart from sharing that the studio is already working on several projects, he said that the studio’s stance on game production has not changed in that it doesn’t concern itself with the thought of making a game that resembles Dark Souls or making a game that doesn’t resemble Dark Souls.
He explained that he plans on making the “game that he wants to make now,” without being concerned about whether it is or isn’t similar to Dark Souls.
Miyazaki didn’t share any details on what the studio is currently working on but it’s been previously rumored that the company is working on a spiritual successor to Dark Souls, a reboot of the Armored Core series, and a new game for PSVR.
